I was the town speaker the other week in a magical place in historic Bulacan, a province sweating with history and stories, not to mention great food, rice fields and warm people. The occasion was the 109th Anniversary of the Battle of Qingua in the town of Plaridel. It's the only place in the country that marks this day annually.
